AYPT 2025: Celebrating International Collaboration and Scientific Curiosity
13. 6. 2025From April 25 to 27, two of our IB students proudly joined the Slovenian team at the Austrian Young Physicists’ Tournament (AYPT). This prestigious international competition brings together high school students from around the world to engage in “physics fights” – rigorous academic debates where participants present, oppose, and review physics problems they have investigated through experimentation.
The AYPT fosters both scientific skill and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively – core elements of the IB learner profile. This year’s tournament featured teams from Iran, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Slovakia, Hungary, and Austria, offering our students the chance to interact with peers from diverse backgrounds and forge meaningful international connections.
The experience was both intellectually enriching and personally inspiring. Our students returned with new friendships, a deeper passion for physics, and a determination to participate again next year.
We are proud of their effort, enthusiasm, and the way they exemplified the values of international-mindedness and lifelong learning. Well done!
